#Exceptional transports and #special permit(s) are a big topic when it comes to transporting construction machinery in Switzerland❗️

Because in Switzerland (CH) the following applies:

"Vehicles / vehicle combinations for which the limits according to Art. 64 - 67 VRV exceed the legal maximum dimensions and weights may only be driven on public roads with written permission"

In general, the following limits apply:

➡️ Length: max. 16.5m for articulated vehicles and max. 18.75m for trailers
➡️ Width: max. 2.55 m
➡️ Height: max. 4m
➡️ Operating weight: max. 40 t

... and how long does the approval process take❓

The average processing time for fully completed #applications is a maximum of 3 working days, although the processing time can be shortened with an express surcharge.
